Stephen Kinnane founded Sakonnet Furniture Makers Inc. in 2010 after completing a two year course at Boston's prestigious North Bennet Street School of Traditional Craft.

Since then, Sakonnet Makers has been designing and making furniture for a variety of residential and commercial properties in New England (and beyond).  At Sakonnet Furniture Makers we are dedicated to excellence in the art of classical woodworking and take great pride in creating furniture for our clients who value the art of traditional craftsmanship

Full size, hand drafted drawings of each piece are completed before beginning construction, guaranteeing precise dimensions and eliminating any potential joinery problems.  We use only time tested joinery techniques, ensuring that the integrity and specifications of each piece is never compromised.

At Sakonnet Makers we are passionate about preserving the legacy of traditional craftsmanship and our standard of work strives to provide a better understanding for the value of heirloom quality furniture that will not only last a lifetime, but will be used, enjoyed, and shared throughout generations.
